Strykers got off to a fine start to the league season beating Oneonta in a hard fought game. Strykers captain, midfielder Yunus Tukire, got a game high two goals. They opened their goal scoring with a goal from Bokech and Tabu added two goals at the end of the 1st quarter. Strykers led the first quarter 3-0.

Oneonta made a comeback in the 2nd quarter to level 3-3. A goal from attackman Sam Ddungu and 2 goals from Bizo had the game level by the 29th minute.  Last season’s joint top scorer, attacker Kenneth Kasule, put in two goals to take Strykers 6-4 ahead at the end  of the third quarter.

Midfielder Yunus Brian then wrapped up a fine display with a goal in the fourth quarter to end the game 7-5 for Strykers

This win puts Strykers at the top of the league table. It also extends their head-to-head dominance over Oneonta (3-0) in the Uganda Lacrosse League. Strykers have never lost to Oneonta in the league.
